What is DGL?

DGL (deglycyrrhizinated licorice) is an extract derived from the licorice plant and is mainly used to support digestive health and healthy metabolism.

Yes. When taken at recommended dosages, DGL has been proven safe for long-term use without any adverse affects. It is the presence of the glycyrrhizic acid in the licorice root that is responsible for some adverse effects.
